The True Value of Cheap Airline Tickets

“It just cannot be true” I had mumbled to myself when my friend informed me about the astonishingly low rates. I have traveled to local and overseas locations many times in the past due to official work and also on leisure trips. If my friend thought that I would be so gullible, then he is mistaken. Thanks to the global economic recession, it is getting tough for me to make both ends meet and most of what I earn is spent up in purchasing essential commodities and paying off the house rent. I strongly doubt whether I shall be able to afford plane tickets for my family during this holiday season. Generally I deposit the keys of my apartment with my neighbor, but this time around he was surprised when I told him that I might not be taking the yearly trip because of the costly plane fares.

This was the moment when he told me about certain airliners that provide cheap airline tickets for both local and long haul overseas destinations too. My friend also informed me that I should not expect the extra frills that I was accustomed to receive on normal flights. The never ending cups of tea & coffee along with the lunch and dinner would not be available on this flight, but why should I bother about that? I can easily carry a pack of snacks to last me and my family for the entire journey and carrying a bottle of mineral water was no big deal. Thanks to the information provided by my friend, I can now enjoy my yearly overseas retreat along with the other members of my family.
