With slow travel, you have a novel chance to experience the world. Traveling slow gives you the chance to enjoy and become a part and parcel of the local people, place, life and culture. It is not a secret of cheap travel but a chance for you to have more fun. It doesn’t only pay attention to the travel and quality of life, but a way of having things different from the usual mass tourism and trips offered in bulk.

You can focus on the differences within culinary traditions, local culture, natural productions and artesian. Slow doesn’t really mean ‘slow’ as such. You can have slow that is fast. Slow traveling can save you a fortune. For instance, rather than travel for 600 miles non stop and consume a lot of fuel, you can travel 200 miles in a day and save on gas. With time, you can do a lot while in a travel. You can shop for better and affordable place to eat and stay. Once you go slowly, you are able to discover things you could easily miss. You are able to engage the local people more as you make your trip. Slowing down saves you money and makes the travel more enjoyable.

Slow travel is different from the normal tour and has its advantages. You are limited to small groups of about ten to twelve people and the tour guides or operators have all the time to give you the personal attention you require. Catering to a huge group of guests means the guides will herd the travelers around for along time ignoring the need for everybody to have the best time and splendid experiences.

With slow travel, you have the chance to focus on the local life that tours ignore. You can now go shopping at a village market and sample local dishes and learn how to cook them. Tours focus on quantity and not quality, and they don’t keep the journey through the travel to a minimum to let you enjoy.

With slowing down, you don’t have to run to and from a must see location to another and once you get home you feel like you really need another holiday. Slower means you lodge in a location and sample the local occurrences as you join it. Most slow tours stay for a week at least in a place.
