Some of the requirements that rental companies insist you have before you can rent a car in Netherlands are that you should at least be 21 years old. However, this condition varies with the kind of car that you are renting out. Moreover, you should at least have had your driving licence for a year. If you are younger than 25, some companies will charge you extra fees.

You should also note that when you rent a car in Netherlands, you should use the seat belts. If you have babies, they should be strapped in child seats. Children who are 12 years and below are not allowed sitting in the front seat.
